Avoid the Mistakes
Shop Management

Consider this scenario: Your installer returns to the shop and says everything went great. The next morning you have a message from Mrs. Unsure, who sees a few things she is not happy with. You have no choice but to go back. You get there and find that there is a scratch on the counter left by the electrician. You know it isn’t your fault, but it is your word against the electrician’s.

A simple way to avoid this sort of problem is to have your installers carry sign-off sheets. These forms should be worded to show that the customer was completely satisfied with the work done. Doing this will greatly decrease your risk of having to make a return trip.

Don’t let unnecessary mistakes eat up your profits. Try implementing some of the suggestions in this article. Start slowly and work on one area at a time, and before long you will begin to see fewer mistakes and more profits.
