Bosch has also added an installer's kit to its router line. The new Bosch PR20EVSNK Colt Palm Router Installer's Kit incorporates the PR20EVS router motor, fixed base, edge guide, roller guide, offset base, tilt base, underscribe attachment and carrying case.

AGR Diamond Tools has engineered and produced a new version of its diamond core bit. Known as a Finger Bit, AGR has improved the two-in-one tool, which is sold to natural stone fabricators and contractors. As a fabricator drills a hole in countertops for faucets, he will not have to change tools in order to smooth and polish the edges of the cutout. The hole is cored, the insides edges are smoothed and it's ready with one tool.

GUHDO/Preziss has introduced its coated polycrystalline diamond (CPD). Developed by Element Six (DeBeers), innovator of synthetic polycrystalline diamond, tools tipped with CPD have reportedly shown a tool life increase of up to 100 percent over standard polycrystalline tooling. CPD is a metallic coating that penetrates the entire diamond structure throughout the process of synthesis, not just on the surface. Other advantages of the new diamond grade are better chip resistance, increased toughness and improved finish.

Techno Inc. CNC Cutting Tools offers its Economy Tooling Line of CNC router bits for novice CNC router users. The line of tooling is designed to reduce the cost of replacement tools while users gain knowledge on proper cutting. The tools include a variety of Flat and Ball End Mills that are available in both standard and long lengths. There are nine different cutting edge length options ranging from 3/32-in. up to 3-in.

Amana Tool offers the RC-1028 industrial insert V-groove router bits. The design uses a high grade carbide insert knife specially designed for miter folds, sign making and lettering applications. The router bits are suitable on laminates, plywood, solid wood, aluminum and foam, plastic and foam and solid surface materials. The design includes a reversible knife, which can be rotated when one side becomes dull. Once the insert knife shows wear on both sides, it can be replaced and secured using the locking screw system, ensuring safety and cutting accuracy. The bit is available in angles ranging from 60 to 150 degrees with a ¾-in. shank and angles ranging from 45 to 160 degrees in a ½-in shank.

segment height. The tool is an addition to the Reactor Series developed using A.D.M. (Advanced Diamond Matrix) technology, a process that replaces the random clustering of diamonds with a newly engineered diamond matrix. According to the company, this allows the travel speed of the saw to increase without increasing amperage of the motor. In addition, the blade is designed to give the operator extended life. The "O" flute is available from Wesley Tools LTD in three different configurations for the entire machine cutting of plastic and solid surface materials. The straight, single "O" flute is ideal for soft plastics, while the two-flute straight works well on medium hard plastics and solid surface material. The single-flute down, or up-cut spiral is unmatched on hard plastic and solid surface. When harder plastics and aluminum need cutting, the two-flute spiral with either up or down cut is the tool of choice. ITI Diamond Tools has developed the patent-pending Thickness Corrector Tool (TC) for portable routers, which eliminates stone slab thickness variation. The design of the tool allows the fabricator to create a consistent thickness along the stone slab with one quick pass. This can increase the life and effectiveness of a stone profiling bit. The TC will also ensure that the adjoining pieces of a stone project are the same thickness at installation. Simply mount the TC Tool onto the portable router spindle, align the top of the stone surface with the spindle spacer, and run the portable router from left to right. The Vollmer QXD400 and QXD200 provide technology for finishing PCD tools to optimize cutting edges for use in abrasive machining applications. The erosion generator removes material to within 10 microns of the finish dimension and the grinding wheel follows, finishing the tool in a single machine setup.
