The 2005 Solid Surface Design Contest

You, our readers, never cease to amaze us here at SolidSurface magazine with the fabulous artistry you put into the spectacular designs you fabricate. That is why we established the Annual SolidSurface Design Contest last year, and we certainly weren't disappointed by the entries we received.

Well, it's that time of year again, and we are seeking the top designs by the best and brightest in the solid surface and engineered stone world.

We are issuing a call for entries in the second Annual SolidSurface Design Contest. This is your chance to once again demonstrate your company's skill and prowess in solid surface and quartz surfacing fabrication in real-world applications. Sure, your show room is full of fantastic things you've put together to inspire your customers, but what about the projects you've actually installed?

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts in each of five categories:

  • Residential Kitchen
  • Residential Bath
  • Commercial/Institutional
  • Nontraditional Application
  • Overall Design

Criteria for selecting winners will be based on the overall impression of the project, aesthetic appeal, attention to detail, use of materials in unusual and inventive applications, functionality of space and how well the installation meets the objectives of the customer.

Winners will be featured in the September/October issue of SolidSurface, in Kitchen and Bath Design News (combined circulation of over 55,000 industry professionals in 46 countries) and on the SolidSurface Web site (www.solidsurfacemagazine.com). Contest winners will also be recognized with a plaque and news releases.

The deadline for receipt of materials is July 15, 2005.
