Is solid surface careening headlong down the road toward commodity status? Does it matter if it is?

Amid a crippling snowstorm that ravaged the country’s east coast and a Code Orange terrorist alert that had the world sitting on the edge of its seat, Solid Surface 2003 convened at the Mandalay Resort Hotel Convention Center in Las Vegas this past February.

As a young man he gave up law school to become a sculptor, then entered into a type of middle-class bohemian lifestyle by creating art for its own sake while his wife worked to pay the bills.
