ETemplate Photo This photography based digital measuring system is an absolute must for quick, easy, templating. It does what other systems cannot. No matter the shape or size, ETemplate measures it and automatically produces a DXF drawing, including overhang and radii, with one mouse click. There is no range, reach, or line-of-sight issues. Simply place a few dots along the edges of the cabinets, take a few photos and let the software do the rest. A 60-square foot job can be setup, photographed, and processed to a production ready CAD template in under 10-minutes. No tape measure is needed because every photo collects millions of measurements in 3-D. This means that every point is measured at least twice, and usually more; it is self-checking for accuracy. It works for any shop whether automated or not! The templater takes the photographs and the software does the rest. The finished CAD/DXF can be used to cut a vinyl template, print a detailed shop drawing, or go directly to any CNC machine. EMS Emergency Material Services (EMS) offers an online subscription service at www.emergencymaterialservices.com that allows fabricators to buy and sell scrap material. The service allows users to inventory scrap on the Web site for others to search through. Subscribers can search through other companies' scrap inventories based on brand, color, length and width to find a specific piece suitable to an application. Once a suitable piece of scrap is found, the buyer pays via the site for the shipping and the scrap, based on an industry average price for that material, and the seller is notified.
