Read a post about silicone that sets in 15 min, there do you get the stuff and how do people like it? I think it would save tome on installs, and no return visits for clamps!!

Travis:

I have always used regular silicone, usually in combination with hot met glue, eliminating the need for the silicone to set up immediately.

Going back to a job for clamps is a profit-destroying monster, and I strongly suggest you kill it immediately.

Travis,

We've used the rapid set silicone on an Airport project, where we had large skirts under a countertop, and you're right, it does save from having to let it set up overnight and make a return trip to take the clamps off. I'll try to dig up a contact name for you,

Just to clarify, the product we make is a two part urethane that shares some properties with silicone.

We have customers that use Gel Superglue with an accelerator for a rapid bond for that application and by rapid I mean 10-15 seconds. But, as Joe said...100% RTV silicone and hotmelt is the norm.
