Technical Bulletin - Denatured Alcohol

Did any fabricators from the Los Angeles area receive, or should I say understand the Technical Bulletin faxed by Pinnacle Distribution the other day? I looked up Rule 1171 of the Soouth Coast AQMD regarding Denatured Alcohol and was even more confused. Is it me or does this say nothing?

Hey Ron,

We use methenol from J&J Metals. But this probably is the same stuff. I don't understand why we can't use denatured alcohol. And did you notice they didn't say what to use instead of the alcohol.

Try using methanol. That is what J&J metal brings us in a 5 gallon container. It works great and it's not denatured alcohol.
